This compilation sheds light on Yukihiro Takahashi's solo work in the early 1980s! For nearly 50 years since joining Sadistic Mika Band in 1972, Yukihiro Takahashi has been at the forefront as a drummer, singer, composer, and producer. It was in the early 1980s that he established his identity as a solo artist after the social phenomenon breakthrough of YMO. The "YT EARLY 80s" reissue series will begin this fall, focusing on the period from his first solo hit, "Ongaku Kakka", to the final album of his alpha period, the soundtrack to "Yotsuki no Koji". The introductory compilation "GRAND ESPOIR" will be released simultaneously on CD and LP. Yoshinori Sunahara was chosen to select and master the tracks. The album will convey Yukihiro Takahashi's diverse activities and appeal through a selection of songs provided by other artists, produced works, and planned albums from the same period. Art direction - design by TOWA TEI and jacket artwork by internationally acclaimed artist TOMOO GOKITA.The production staff of the 2018 YMO compilation disc "NEUE TANZ" has come together again.
