Description:
Coxsone Dodd/Studio One's first album (released in 1961), which was unknown to the world until 2009. There were only a few copies pressed at the time, and very few discs in existence. It is an extremely rare album in the history of Jamaican music, and has a very high historical value as the first work of the prestigious Studio One. This is a disc where one can enjoy the shuffles of the first Ska period, including Clancy Eccles' signature song "Freedom". This is an important work that can be regarded as the starting point of Jamaican music, leading not only to Studio One but also to reggae and dancehall. (C)RS
