Originating from the United Kingdom, this piece dates to circa 1905, during the Edwardian era. The ring features three stunning natural blue sapphires, originating from the famous sapphire deposits of Montana. Montana sapphires were first discovered during the 1860s gold rush and were initially discarded by miners as worthless. That changed in 1895, when Ed “Sapphire” Collins sent samples to Tiffany & Co., who immediately recognised their true value. Today, Montana sapphires remain highly prized.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
