Longer bump stops are not always better (but they are sometimes), if you have limited up travel (5" or less) then 2" length bumps are the maximum that will work effectively. For rear end applications with 8"+ up travel 3" or 4" bumps will be great depending on your preference.

If you have had issues in the past with the initial impact of the air bump being harsh, you can jump up to a longer stroke like a 3" and lower the pressure. Because you're displacing an extra 1" of shaft volume in the can  you can get similar feel out of a 3" at lower pressure than a 2" at standard pressure which will lower that initial impact.

Bilstein M 9100 (Bump Stop) is designed to provide a significant increase in compression control over the last few inches of suspension travel on custom off-road applications. M 9100 (Bump Stop) has a replaceable strike pad for easy maintenance. This bump stop utilizes a nitrogen fill valve which can be used to fully adjust the compression force. When properly applied, M 9100 (Bump Stop) will effectively decelerate the suspension and prevent harsh bottoming on custom off-road applications.
