CC8 True Condenser

The Austrian Audio CC8 is a cardioid true condenser microphone designed for precision, detail, and versatility. At its core is the newly developed OCC7 small-diaphragm condenser capsule, inspired by the legendary CK1, and re-engineered for the demands of today’s studios and stages.

With its linear frequency response and transformerless output, the CC8 excels at capturing fast transients and spatial detail with remarkable accuracy. Capable of handling extreme sound pressure levels up to 156 dB SPL without distortion, it is equally at home on delicate string instruments as it is on drums, brass, or overheads.

Factory Matched

Every CC8 is individually measured to within ±0.5 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz, ensuring that any two microphones can be matched, regardless of production date. Its low self-noise makes it perfect for quieter sources, while the switchable high-pass filter and pad (-10 dB, -20 dB) provide flexibility for louder instruments and live applications.
